A smooth-leaved, graceful agave known for its elegant, arching rosette. Popular in desert, coastal, and modern landscapes for its softer look compared to many stiff-leaved agaves.
Water Requirements: Low. Drought tolerant; water occasionally during prolonged dry periods.
Soil: Well-draining soil—preferably sandy or rocky.
Growth Rate: Moderate.
Bloom Time: Monocarpic (blooms once at maturity, usually after many years); sends up a tall flowering stalk.
Temperature: Excellent heat tolerance. Cold hardy to approximately 25–30°F (–4 to –1°C). Protect from hard, extended frost.
Pruning: Minimal. Remove dead or damaged leaves as needed.
Toxicity: Mildly toxic; sap may irritate skin.
