Pygmy Date Palm (Robellini)

The Pygmy Date Palm is multi-trunk palm tree and perfect for smaller yards, specimen piece, or an accent. Great addition to any landscape!

Water Requirements: Drought tolerant, don’t overwater!

Soil: Acidic to neutral with good drainage.

Growth Rate: Slow.

Bloom Time: Cream colored flowers in the spring once mature.

Temperature: Hardy to about 20 F.

Pruning: Remove dead or diseased palm fronds while wearing gloves and a long-sleeved shirt. Prune at the base of the frond, about 2 to 5 inches from the trunk. Ensure it is a forceful cut so as to not tear fibers in the stem. Sterilize pruners between plants.

Toxicity: Not toxic.
