Victoriae-reginae
Is a highly ornamental, compact agave known for its tight geometric rosette and striking white leaf markings. Considered one of the most elegant agaves, it is prized in desert, rock, and modern landscapes, as well as in decorative containers. Its sculptural form and slow, refined growth make it a standout specimen plant.
Water Requirements: Very low. Highly drought tolerant; water sparingly and allow soil to fully dry between waterings.
Soil: Well-draining soil—preferably sandy, rocky, or gritty. Excellent drainage is essential.
Growth Rate: Slow.
Bloom Time: Monocarpic. Blooms once at maturity (often 20–30+ years). Produces a tall spike with creamy-white flowers.
Temperature: Excellent heat tolerance. Cold hardy to about 10–15°F (–12 to –9°C). Protect from excessive winter moisture.
Pruning: Minimal. Remove dead leaves only. Avoid damaging leaf tips, which maintain the plant’s symmetrical look.
