Lobelia erinus ‘Riviera’

Is a compact, cool-season annual valued for its abundant small flowers and neat, mounded growth habit. Commonly used in borders, containers, hanging baskets, and mass plantings, it provides vibrant seasonal color and works well as a filler plant in mixed landscape beds.  

Water Requirements: Moderate. Prefers consistently moist soil; water regularly during the first growing season and during dry periods. Avoid allowing soil to dry out completely.

Soil: Well-draining soil. Performs best in fertile, organic-rich soils but adapts to standard garden and container mixes.

Growth Rate: Moderate.

Bloom Time: Fall through spring in warm climates; produces abundant small flowers.

Temperature: Cool-season annual. Performs best in mild temperatures; declines during extreme summer heat.

Pruning: Minimal. Light trimming may encourage fuller growth and continued flowering.

Toxicity: Not considered toxic to people or pets.
