Adenium obesum

Is a striking succulent shrub known for its swollen trunk (caudex) and vibrant funnel-shaped flowers. Popular as a patio, container, and bonsai-style plant. 

Water Requirements: Low to moderate. Allow soil to dry completely between waterings; drought tolerant.

Soil: Very well-draining, sandy or cactus-type soil mix.

Growth Rate: Slow to moderate.

Bloom Time: Spring through summer; may bloom sporadically year-round in warm climates.

Temperature: Warm-weather plant; not frost hardy. Protect from temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

Pruning: Light pruning to shape and encourage branching; avoid heavy cuts into the caudex.

Toxicity: Toxic if ingested (sap contains cardiac glycosides).
