Arabian Jasmine
Is a highly fragrant, evergreen shrub or vining plant prized for its intensely sweet, night-blooming white flowers. Widely grown in tropical and subtropical landscapes, it is commonly used near patios, entryways, and walkways where its perfume can be enjoyed. It can be shaped as a shrub, grown as a small vine, or kept in containers.
Water Requirements: Moderate. Prefers evenly moist soil; allow the top inch to dry between waterings. More frequent watering needed in hot weather.
Soil: Well-draining, fertile soil. Performs best in loamy or sandy soil enriched with organic matter.
Growth Rate: Moderate to fast in warm climates.
Bloom Time: Spring through fall; may bloom nearly year-round in warm regions. Flowers open in the evening and are highly fragrant.
Temperature: Warm-weather plant. Hardy in zones 9–11. Frost sensitive; protect below 40°F (4°C).
Pruning: Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape. Can be trimmed more heavily in spring to control size or encourage bushiness.
Toxicity: Not considered toxic to pets or humans.
