Celosia argentea ‘Flamma’
Is a compact tropical annual valued for its vibrant, flame-like flower plumes and long-lasting color. Commonly used in seasonal beds, borders, and containers, it provides bold color and texture in warm-weather landscapes. Its upright habit and bright blooms make it ideal for high-visibility plantings and mass displays.
Water Requirements: Moderate. Prefers evenly moist soil; water regularly during the first growing season and during extended dry periods. Avoid waterlogged conditions.
Soil: Well-draining soil. Performs best in fertile, organic-rich soils but adapts to sandy soils with proper irrigation.
Growth Rate: Fast during warm weather.
Bloom Time: Late spring through fall; produces upright, plume-like flower clusters.
